The drum roasters are capable of being configured to produce well developed light roasts characteristic of the best air roasters as well as being configured on the very next roast for dark, sweet, and syrupy Italian roasts. Simply put, our drum roaster has the ability to do what the others can do, and a whole lot more.

Tangletown Coffee Roasters starts with top-quality beans harvested from the world's greatest estates. Our state of the art roasting plant utilizes a proprietary system using custom-designed pneumatic tubes to produce the freshest cup of coffee on the market today. When utilizing some of the finest beans available, and best practices, you can expect a finished, hand crafted product that is lovingly produced, packaged and shipped to consumers all over the world.

Our roasting plant first holds "green" beans in a series of clear storage columns. When it's time for roasting, the beans are automatically measured out by weight and then "whooshed" into the roaster via bursts of air through clear pneumatic tubes. It's exciting to watch, but the process isn't just for show: Those curved tubes are specifically designed to keep the freshly roasted beans from breaking in transit. They are then dispensed into retail bags at the peak of freshness.
